"Meet the Magoons" is based in The Spice of Life – a Punjabi curry house in Glasgow – and follows four friends: Nitin ‘manager man’, cousins Hamish ‘trivia king’, Surjit the peacemaker and Paul the Welsh waiter.

The Spice of Life is run fitfully by Nitin, who misguidedly believes he is destined for business greatness. The Spice is actually run by Nitin’s Dad with Paul, Hamish and Surjit coming to the rescue. When not making an art of talking rubbish, the Magoons each week conspire to conceal cock-ups they have carelessly committed.

BSG Review:

We thought this was a very disappointing new comedy. "Meet the Magoons" thought it was much funnier than it actually was, a shame as it has wasted a good premise. The irrelevant swearing, constant bickering, average acting, forced situations and total lack of jokes unsurprisingly totally damaged our enjoyment beyond being able to even try and say anything nice about it.

See our visitor review page for a couple more opinions.

"Meet the Magoons" first came to life as an episode of Channel 4's Comedy Lab in 2002.
